Robly A. Glover
Professor, Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing. MFA Indiana University.
Robly Glover has exhibited since 1987 with work in approximately 183 nationally-jurored exhibitions. His work was featured on the cover and in an eight-page article in Metalsmith magazine: "Robly Glover: Pragmatic Archetypes," Winter 2002. His work is in numerous museum collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. (3 works), The Art Institute of Chicago, the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction Fine Art Collection at Indiana University, Bloomington (4 works), the Yale University Art Gallery Collection of American Decorative Arts in New Haven, Connecticut (1), and the Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas, Texas. In 2003 he was awarded the President's Excellence in Teaching Award at Texas Tech University. His students have distinguished themselves nationally throughout the field of jewelry design and metalsmithing.
Nancy Slagle
Associate Professor, Associate Director, School of Art. MFA Indiana University.
Nancy Slagle has been exhibiting her art work nationally since 1987. In 1988 she was awarded a National Endowment for The Arts Individual Artist grant and the Art Institute of Chicago purchased her "Single Serving Tea Pot" for their permanent collection. Her work has also been collected by the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Renwick Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. Slagle’s art work has appeared in many publications including 500 Metal Vessels: Contemporary Explorations of Containment, On Body and Soul: Contemporary Armor to Amulets, American Craft magazine, Metalsmith Magazine and The New York Times. She has taught at Texas Tech University since 1991 and served as an Associate Director of the School of Art since 2006. Nancy Slagle earned her BFA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and her MFA from Indiana University: Bloomington.
